December 19th, 2020
"Marrying you is the best thing that has happened in my life."
"I thank God for a loving and selfess man like you. You're my only home today and forever."
December 19th of 2020 was the best day of our lives. In front of God, the church, and our families, we were able to exchange our vows, despite Jakarta's lockdown situation.
With much prayerful consideration, We would now like to celebrate our union with an intimate reception dinner.

Please know that your prayers and presence on our special day is the greatest present of all. However, if you do wish to celebrate with a gift, a contribution to our little home would be warmly appreciated.
One Wednesday evening, Nathan, a freshman ... who had just arrived 3 days ago for College saw a girl, a sophomore, walking towards the Visual Arts Centre for her regular music practice. Not knowing who she is or where she’s from, Nathan instinctively walked towards her and said hello. That girl, Patricia thought nothing much of that encounter, since the two barely said anything besides hello, let alone exchange names. Little did she know, that Nathan on the other hand, told himself that he has found the one.
looking back, it’s quite hard to decide exactly ... what counts as a date. But the moment where there were finally some mutual sparks between the two was on their trip to Perdido Bay. Nathan and Patricia went for a Dolphin Cruise with some friends, where Nathan had planned to showcase all of his gentleman’s moves. Let’s say, he succeeded and butterflies started to appear.
Nathan and Patricia both agreed ... to not label themselves as a couple until they have met with both parents in person. They both came back to Jakarta during the summer break to finally meet with the families. Since watching Dolphins was how things started to get serious in the first place, Nathan thought that he’d have more chance of getting Patricia by inviting her to watch another dolphin show with him at Gelanggang Samudra, Ancol. By now, surely you can tell that the dolphins did him a favor and convinced Patricia to finally make things official.
Fast forward to five and a half years ... after that dolphin show, Nathan picked Patricia up from school (where she teaches) one evening for what said to be a casual dinner. They have both agreed to have a quiet evening, dining in a local restaurant nearby. On their way to the restaurant, Nathan said that he had some sort of a work emergency that needed to be taken care of immediately. That work emergency turned out to be a private room located next to their future home, filled with balloons. It also involved Nathan kneeling down on one knee, asking Patricia to marry him. Of course Patricia, though still in her working uniform, said YES.
We invite you to join us, virtually, as we exchange our vows.
